I am so excited to be bringing you this post today! KathleenLights, or Kathleen Fuentes, is hands down one of my top favorite YouTubers! She is so sweet, funny, spunky, and honest. I know that if we ever met we'd be the best of friends because our personalities are so much alike.
I received this palette as a gift from my cousin, also a makeup junkie. It was limited edition, so unfortunately you cannot get this from the Morphe site any longer. They did do two runs of this palette because they didn't realize how quickly they would sell, and apparently just how many people would want to get their hands on this palette. This is my first Morphe palette and I do want to purchase some other palettes and brushes so this is just the start of my Morphe collection. Here you'll see photos of the palette and swatches, and I'll give you a little review of the shadows too! Let's jump into the beauty of this palette!
Shades Left - right, Top - bottom: Crystal, Cream Puff, Deep Skin, Shimmery Gold*, Satin Cranberry*, Trouble, Purple Taupe (from 35T Palette), Shimmery Bronze*, Soft Pink Cranberry*, Secretive, Shimmer Moss Green*, Metallic Emerald Green*, Warm Rust (from 35O Palette), Matte Deep Mustard (from 35O Palette), Coal.

As you can see, this isn't your everyday neutral palette. I love that Kathleen created a palette that wasn't just another neutral warm toned palette. We have plenty of those in the makeup world already! Instead, she created a palette with a mix of matte and shimmers, warm and cool tones, as well as some unique shades that we don't tend to see or use very often. A few of these shades are currently exclusive to this palette, denoted with a * above. The palette is a satin finish cardboard packaging without a mirror. It doesn't really bother me that there isn't a mirror because I find that my hand cramps when I try to hold a palette and use it's mirror. But hey, that's just me! It's lightweight and has a magnetic closure so it doesn't pop open when traveling.
I think it is so important to have a mix of matte and shimmers for any palette you want to get decent use out of. It's hard to do a full eye look with only shimmer or only matte eyeshadows. I think that with this palette Kathleen really thought out which shades would be your matte "transition" shades, brow bone highlight shades and some gorgeous shimmer/metallic shades to pop on the lid. Below you will see finger swatches of the separate matte and shimmer shades. I want to pick up some of the singles that are also in this palette because I'm curious if the formula is the same. A majority of these matte shades feel dry and a tad chalky. I have used this palette several times though, and the do perform well on the eyes and blend out easily, so it doesn't seem to effect their performance. The shimmer shades a nice and buttery soft, with the metallic green being a little more soft. It's definitely a shadow that you want to be careful with because it so soft and may break easily.

Overall, I think this is a great palette to have because it covers your basic warm shades, gives you a couple colors for transitional shades, includes a nice, buildable black shadow, and also brings in some colorful shades you wouldn't think of to use very often. It's too bad this was a limited edition palette, but I think you can look forward to the next collab Kathleen does to be pretty incredible! If you didn't know, she does have two separate eyeshadow quads she created with Colourpop, as well as several lip shades and formulas. You can check out her Ofra collab here, and her Makeup Geek highlighting palette here. If you want to see her gorgeous nail brand, KL Polish, you can check that out too! I am a huge fan of Kathleen and will continue to support her through the products she creates.
Who is your favorite YouTuber? What is your favorite collab product you own? So happy you stopped by, and I hope you enjoyed these swatches! I will see you again next time!
