March Glossybox // A Not So Favorite

4.14.2017
Welcome to another monthly Glossybox post! March Glossybox came fairly early within the month, on Woman's Day actually! So I immediately unboxed it, looked at all the neat stuff, and took some pictures! Want to sign up for Glossybox? You can do that here and I'll receive Glossydots towards my account for refferring a friend! I think April's box I'll unbox on camera and possibly upload it on YouTube?! Haha, maybe. We'll see how that goes! On to the products!

In this month's box we got a bonus product, and the pamphlet let us know that there will be 8 products in April's box! So that was quite exciting, although the pamphlet confused me a little. On the right column it says that we would receive 3 from that side, but I only received two. So when I emailed Glossybox I was informed that we were suppose to receive 6 items total and that the pamphlet was incorrect. So, all in all, I still got a bonus product and that's good!

When I first saw this in the box, it was one of those 'eh' products that didn't really excite me all that much. I thought that the sample sizes were way too small to get much use out of it, and I am not particularly worried about wrinkles at the moment. I had thought about passing this on to someone else, but I am so glad that I didn't! I have used this almost everyday for 2 weeks and I can't believe that I have gotten that much use out of this little guys! This set includes a foaming cleanser, lifting serum, day cream with SPF 30, night treatment with retinol, and an eye renewal cream. It doesn't take much product to use them properly, and you're suppose to use it day and night. I have felt such a difference in the texture of my skin and the firmness around my eyes and jawline. My face feels clean and refreshed after each use, and soft and moisturized after a night's sleep. I would definitely consider purchasing this in the near future, I just would have to remember to use them regularly.

These nail appliques were  pretty unique to get in my box I thought. But I would have rather received a nail polish since this isn't a product I tend to use, and I find them a little difficult to use so this was an item I passed on to a friend. I loved the design that I received though, and thought it was a fun new product to switch things up a little.

By now you should know that I love my brows! If it's a good brow day, it's a great day! So I was happy to see a brow product, but unfortunately this was not a dark enough shade for my brows. That's ok though because I got a brow product in February's box that I really like, so this one got passed along to my sister. What I liked best about this product is that it was created in partnership with the charity Look Good Feel Better. Here's a little snippet from their website: "The only international cancer support charity, LGFB provides practical services for women and teenagers suffering from the visible side effects of  cancer treatment." With every pencil sold they donate one! I love companies that give back to those in need, especially to cancer patients because it has taken many lives in my extended family and effects so many people.

I was SO happy to see eyeshadows in my box this month! Woo hoo! I really loved these colors too, but I ended up passing this little baby along as well. I have several palettes that have shades so similar to this and much better quality as well. I thought about keeping it, just because it is Catrice brand and I haven't used any other products by them. These shadows felt decent swatching them and will create some pretty looks for a beginner in makeup!

I have been waiting to get a primer in my Glossybox! And my skin tends to be oily, so I like a matte finish to my makeup. I haven't been able to use this yet, the one time I did try it reacted funny with the Mary Kay products on my face. The texture of it feels nice though and it's not a thick formula so I think it will wear nicely under any type of foundation. I do wish I would have received a primer from a brand I was familiar with, but I am happy to even have a primer!

This is my first Tarte product ever! I so was hoping I would get the tinted moisturizer, especially because I don't use sunscreen, like at all. Haha! This product is a non-chemical sunscreen and doesn't feel greasy or uncomfortable on the skin. I would have passed this item along to someone that would use it, but because I adore this packaging I'm going to keep it and make myself use it this summer. And hey, it's a great size to share with friends and family too!

Which products did you like the most out of this month's Glossybox? Overall I would rate March's Glossybox a 4 out of 10. A majority of the products I passed on and were items that I just wouldn't normally use. I like to receive items that I actually tend to use on a normal basis like lipstick, mascara, nail polish, etc. So I was kinda bummed about this box, but I'm looking forward to April's box and the bonus items we will be getting in that one! If you would like to sign up for Glossybox you can go here and I will receive Glossydots towards my account. Thank you so much for being here! See you soon!
